Are women allowed to use metal (razor scissor) on their body to remove hair?

Slide 1
Previous Next

QUESTION:

I have always been told women are not allowed to use metal on the body. So my question is; are women allowed to use metal (razors/scissors) on their body as some people say if you use it then your Janazah will be heavy. Is this true?

ANSWER:

Women can use a razor and scissors on their body to remove unwanted hairs.

The Janazah being heavy because of metal use is completely un-Islamic and there is no basis for this in the Shari’ah.

Allah knows best.
